North Florida Motocross & Riding Areas
North Florida has one of the state’s strongest clusters of motocross facilities, ranging from major event venues such as Gatorback to family practice tracks, training properties and camp-capable resorts.
North Florida offers a broad mix: event-scale motocross, local practice, training compounds and family-oriented riding. That variety is useful, but it means “active” alone does not tell you whether the property is open for ordinary public practice today. Gatorback, for example, can be event-focused while other facilities publish recurring practice opportunities.
North Florida sand and loam can change dramatically after grooming or rain. Do not choose tire pressure or suspension settings from a directory description. Start from a known safe baseline, inspect the actual surface, and use the setup log to record what worked.
Bostwick Creek MX Park is a Green Cove Springs motocross facility with current 2026 activity. In addition to motocross riding, the property has been associated with youth riding and trail options, giving it a broader mix than a single-track practice facility.
Gatorback Cycle Park remains active as a major Florida motocross event venue. The current promoter site specifically notes that Gatorback does not operate normal open practice, so riders should plan around a published event rather than assume public practice access.
Motocross of Marion County near Citra/Reddick is a long-running Florida motocross property, but public information about day-to-day riding is inconsistent. The page is marked Verify so riders do not mistake historical schedules for current access.
North Florida Motocross Park in Hilliard is an active 35-acre racing and practice facility that specifically promotes riding for kids, beginners, novices and veteran riders.
Pax Trax MX Resort in Bunnell is an active full-service motocross facility with multiple tracks, training/camp activity and RV camping support. It is one of the more amenity-rich Florida options for riders planning more than a quick practice session.
Waldo MX is active in 2026 with a current official site, racing calendar, camping and event programming. The current operation advertises 130 acres and a 1.5-mile motocross track near Gainesville.
WW Ranch is a nationally known Jacksonville motocross property, but its current official site says normal public practice is closed and directs riders to Club57 training. This listing is marked Verify/Limited so riders do not assume it is a normal open-practice track.
Sunshine State MX Park in Jasper is an active North Florida motocross facility with 2026 practice, training and race activity. It is not the old closed Sunshine Motocross property in Clearwater.
Planning a regional trip
Do not build a multi-track weekend from old directory hours. Open each facility page, follow its current source, and confirm operating dates immediately before travel. Event-only and training-only properties are labeled so you do not mistake them for ordinary public practice tracks.
